We have a great summer planned with opportunities to connect with others and serve the community. We have a pool party planned for July 7th at the Arena Club, a BIG community movie night on August 3rd, and a night at an Ironbirds’ game on June 22nd. We are also going to be giving specific challenges throughout the summer related to missions. We will devoting much of the summer to praying for our community and our world, serving our community, and sharing the Gospel. Each month this summer will have a different emphasis and challenge.
A challenge for the whole summer to pray for South Asia. As a church we have committed to engaging South Asia where over 1 billion reside. There are few Christians, Churches, and Gospel witnesses in this region of the world. We will begin sending teams in October. Before we hit the ground we want to devote at least 100 hours of prayer for this region of the world. We are asking you to devote 1 hour a day on a certain day or several days throughout this summer.
In addition to that we are asking you to spend the next 30 days praying for at least 3 people who God has placed on your heart that do not have a relationship with Jesus. Pray for their hearts to be opened, pray for opportunities to talk to them, pray for courage to share with them when given the opportunity and pray for clarity and wisdom as you share with them. In July and August, we will give another specific challenge about serving these people and sharing the Gospel with them.
