EPIC has a passion to reach the nations of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many in the world have little to no access to the Gospel, and many people around the world have never even heard of Jesus. South Asia is one of the areas of desperate need. There are over 1 billion people and many of them have never heard the Gospel or interacted with a Christian. It is the greatest concentration of lost people in the world. So, we as a church have determined that we are going to South Asia. We will be sending our first scout team at the beginning of October. In preparation, we want to spend at least 100 hours in prayer as a church before we set foot other there. So, we are asking you to pick a day or several days throughout the summer to pray (there are a little over 100 days before we leave). We want at least one person praying every day throughout the next 100 days for 1 hour.
What can I pray for? Pray for our first scout team that we will send in October, pray for open doors to connect with people and share the Gospel, pray for wisdom and direction as we begin our engagement over there, pray for protection as we know Satan does not want us there, pray for the people in India that God would open their eyes to see His glory, pray for the missionaries serving over there in that region, pray for us to be faithful in sharing the Gospel and effective in making disciples, pray for help finding people of peace that can help us, pray for people to be receptive, pray for the finances that we have to raise, etc. Go to this website for more information on what to pray for.
