One of our core values is reaching the unreached. We believe that the world needs to hear the Good News about Jesus Christ; therefore, we are compelled to go and share. We are passionate about declaring the Gospel to the world, as well as, living in such a way that the world will see Jesus through us. Therefore, we are committed to blessing our local community, planting more churches, and reaching out to unreached people groups:
- Blessing our local community: we demonstrate the love of Jesus by loving the community where God has placed us. We love Aberdeen, the route 40 corridor and Harford County. So we are committed to blessing local schools, partnering with effective non-profit organizations (Extreme Family Outreach, Alpha’s Glory, Harford Family House), and hosting community events such as Fall Fest (thousands join us each year), movie nights, Easter egg hunts, and more.
- Church Planting: church planting is the fastest and most effective way to reach people who don’t know Jesus. So we are committed to planting new churches, especially in the northeast (one of the largest pockets of lost people in the world). We give a significant amount to church plants each year and help assess and coach church planters.
- International Missions and Unreached People Groups: we want to see the Gospel spread and Jesus worshipped around the world. So we are committed to supporting international missions. We give a portion of our offerings to overseas mission work and send multiple teams each year around the world. We are especially concerned with reaching unreached people groups. There are over 6000 unreached people groups (less than 2% of that population are Christians) and over 3000 unengaged unreached people groups (there is no present strategy or church working to reach these people groups). For this reason we have sent 7 teams to India, a region with more unreached people groups than anywhere else in the world. We have also partnered with LightShine in Mexico.
