Redeeming Love

As we wrap up this beautiful story in Ruth, we hear one word repeated throughout chapter 4: redeem. Who will redeem or buy back Elimelech's land? Who will marry Ruth? And what will become of Naomi and the future of this family? In this chapter, we see the cost involved in redeeming this family, a cost which Boaz is willing to pay. And in this chapter, we learn that this story is not just about the redemption of a small family but redemption for a nation, and ultimately, for the world.
