SERVICE DETAILS

Kids Ministry During service, we have fun, Gospel-centered, Bible saturated, learning environments for children Birth-Grade 5. Kids in K-Grade 5 begin in service and are then dismissed to their classes.

Communion/The Lord’s Supper: Every week, we celebrate communion together.  This weekly observance is done in obedience to Jesus' command as a way to visibly remind us of Jesus' death for our sins.  The bread represents Jesus' body and the juice represents His blood.  When celebrated in genuine faith, the Lord's Supper nourishes us spiritually.  We invite any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ to join us.  We will have a time of prayer and self-examination before we eat and drink.  Communion can be found in baskets as you enter the worship area.

Offering/Connect Cards: There are black boxes in the back of the room and the lobby where you can place your offerings or Connect Cards. You can also complete Connect Cards and Give via the Church Center App.

Giving: An important part of worship is giving.  Jesus told us that “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). Our heart naturally follows where we put our money.  We encourage people to follow the biblical pattern of giving the first of what you make to the Lord for ministry purposes.  When you give to EPIC, your money supports missions work around the world, numerous ministries, care for the poor, and operational costs. Thank you for your generosity!

EVENTS TODAY

Starting Point is a great place to begin if you want to learn more about EPIC, get more connected, or start the process of Partnership (EPIC's version of membership). We will discuss our mission, values, beliefs, culture, structure, ministry opportunities, and more. This is a great opportunity for you to meet some of our leaders, for us to get to know you, and for you to ask questions. Starting Point will be held at 12p in Suite N (Multi-Purpose Room), following 2nd service. Childcare and pizza lunch available. Just show up!

Theology Q & A In February, we gathered on a Sunday afternoon to discuss questions about the Bible, doctrine, and theology. It was such a meaningful time of learning and conversation that we’re excited to do it again. While we weren’t able to get to every question last time, we’ve kept an ongoing list to continue addressing at future Q&A gatherings. This event is open to anyone who wants to grow in their understanding of the Christian faith. You don’t need to submit a question to attend—just come ready to learn and fellowship with others. We’ll have table discussions along with a panel of pastors who will help walk through a variety of questions. Please submit any questions about the Bible or theology when you register. Join us for a great afternoon of thoughtful conversation and learning! Pre-submitted questions we will be going over include:

Q1(a). Am I applying the the Bible and its teachings as God intended it in my life?
Q1(b). What does Scripture truly teach about women teaching and leading, and how do we interpret those passages in proper context? How do we make sure we’re interpreting Scripture correctly and staying true to what God intended?
Q2. Does the Bible or documents written by Biblical scholars, Biblical figures explain or attempt to explain space? Additionally does it attempt or explain whether their are other life forms or is it generally thought that we populate space and the “aliens” we speak of are us in the future in different variations based on atmosphere and planet?
Q3. How can we understand the Christian experience as an embodied experience? Countless stories in the Bible contain descriptions of encountering the Lord through physical experiences, such as Jacob wrestling, Moses at the burning bush, and Abraham’s covenant promise. We also see themes of healing and strength for our bodies in passages like Proverbs 3, Psalm 16, Romans 5, and Psalm 103, as well as Jesus frequently touching people physically to heal them. What does a balanced and healthy understanding of the embodied experience of the Christian life look like and compassion towards bodily suffering and the ability to heal?
Q4. Can we be 100% sure if someone is or is not elect before they die? Is being saved the same thing as being elect?
STAY CONNECTED AT EPIC Our church uses the Church Center app to communicate what’s happening EPIC to everyone that attends.  You can download the Church Center App from your app store onto your phone.  Using the app, you can sign up for events, stay connected with your group, give, check your kids into our Kids area, and more.  We highly recommend having the app to stay on top of everything EPIC. Look for the app in your App Store.
