Divine Appointments

Often, there are moments in life when we may be tempted to say, "this is quite coincidental." Certain realities align to have us at the right place at the right time. But according to the Bible, these are not coincidences. They are the fingerprints of God. In Acts 8, God pushes the church out of Jerusalem through persecution so that the Good News about Jesus could spread to Samaria. This was part of God's plan all along. Then, God calls Philip away to cross paths with an outcast in the middle of nowhere who needs help understanding God's Word. This story is a reminder to us that God sets appointments for us. He causes people to cross our paths and He prompts us to go to certain places. The question is: will we take the appointments that He places in our calendars?
